Abstract:
The electrochemical behavior and reaction mechanism of scutellarin on the graphite electrode were investigated by cyclic voltammetric method on graphite electrode.A couple of sensitive and quasi-reversible redox peaks were obtained, with an oxidation peak at 0.154 V and a reduction peak at 0.073 V.The voltammetric behavior of scutellarin in different pH values showed that its oxidation reaction on the electrode involved two electrons and two prontons. The voltammetric behavior of scutellarin at different scan rates showed that its oxidation process was an adsorption-controlled process at low scan rates and a diffusion-controlled process at high scan rates. In 0.1 mol/L phosphate buffers(pH 7.0),the oxidation peak current of scutellarin in differential pulse voltammetric(DPV) curve was proportional to the concentration range of 5.0×10-7-5.0×10-5 mol/L with a detection limit of 1.5×10-7 mol/L.This method was applied in the determination of scutellarin in Erigeron breviscapus with recovery of 98%.
