Abstract:
A high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric(LC-MS/MS) method was developed for the determination of kelevan residue in textiles. The sample was ultrasonically extracted with methanol-acetonitrile(1∶1) and the extract was purified with florisil column if necessary. The compound was separated on a Hypersil GOLD C18 column(100 mm×2.1 mm,5 μm) with 20% methanol-5 mmol/L ammonium acetate aqueous solution as mobile phase. The detection of kelevan was carried out by MS/MS with negative electrospray ionization under the multiple reaction monitoring mode using the external standard method. The calibration curve showed a good linearity in the range of 1.0-200.0 μg/L for the target compound. The limit of quantitation(S/N≥10) was 0.025 mg/kg.The recoveries of kelevan in cotton sample ranged from 90.6% to 103.4% at the spiked levels of 0.025,0.250,0.625 mg/kg with relative standard deviations(RSDs) of 3.3%-5.2%.With advantages of simplicity, accurancy and strong operability, the established method could be applied in the determination of kelevan in textiles.
