Abstract:
Endocrine disrupting chemicals(EDCs),as a kind of exogenous substances, can block or mimic the synthesis, secretion, transport, metabolism, binding and elimination of natural hormones which are responsible for the maintenance of homeostasis, reproduction, development and action.EDCs interfere with the function of endocrine system in human and wildlife, and consequently cause adverse effects on development,reproduction,non-reproduction and immune system. Therefore, the pollution characteristics of EDCs in aquatic environment, particularly phenolic EDCs,are widely used, which have attracted a great deal of scientific and public attention worldwide. However,it is very difficult to determine phenolic EDCs in actual environment due to their low-dose and matrix complexity. In this review, analysis methods of the phenolic EDCs in water, including sample pretreatment and analysis technique,in recent years are summarized. The prospect about the analysis methods of phenolic endocrine disruptors is also discussed.
