Abstract:
A simple and efficient method based on high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) was established to separate twelve analytes of sweeteners(rhamnose, xylose, fructose, glucose, rebaudioside, sucrose, maltose, lactose, 1-kestose, raffinose, nystose, stachyose) in feeds. The target analytes were separated on a XB-NH2 column with gradient elution of acetonitrile-water as mobile phases. The analytes were detected by the evaporative light-scattering detector (ELSD).The result indicated that all twelve sweeteners had good linearities within 0.05-5 g/L with correlation coefficients of 0.996 3-1.000 0.The limits of detection were all not more than 0.04 g/L.The average recoveries for the sweeteners ranged from 86.6% to 112% with RSDs of 0.5%-6.7%.The results showed the method was simple, rapid and reliable, and was suitable for the determination of sweeteners in feeds.
