| In recent years,the study of self-assembled monolayers(SAMs),especially sulfur-gold system,has been attracting many attentions.3-mercaptopropionic acid(MPA) can form a stable and ordered single molecular film which shows a unique structure and special surface properties.This article reviews the important and elegant experiments that have been done in the field of MPA SAMS over the past 20 years.The preparation,structure,performance and application of MPA SAMs are discussed,and the future development of MPA SAMs is also proposed. |
